What is FCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) could be a 20DV’, 40DV’ or 40HQ container which is destined for one client.
What LCL?
LCL (Less Container Load) could be a 20DV’, 40DV’ or 40HQ that is destined for more than one receivers, for the same port of destination. In that case, ocean freight cost is splitted, depending on the volume of each LCL cargo.
Agent’s role on LCL shipments is catalytic since he maintains a close contact with shipper providing with the appropriate service on time deliveries and during loading procedure.
Types of Container / Capacity*
20’DV cntr > max 28CBM (cubic metres)
40’DV cntr > max 58 CBM (cubic metres)
40’ΗQ cntr > max 68 CBM (cubic metres)
*Please note that numbers regarding the capacity of each container are approximately estimated. Having as main concern transport quality and stacking methods, for your cargoes protection, cbm measurements are appeared to have some deviations.

COST, INSURANCE and FREIGHT:
means that shipper bears all charges (insurance included) till the named port of destination. Receiver is bearing only local charges in the port of discharge
FREE ON BOARD:
Free On Board means that shipper undertakes transport charges till the port of loading and thereafter receiver are bearing all transports charges as well as local charges of the named port of destination
EX WORKS:
Receiver undertakes all charges from shipper’s door (road transport, customs formalities, loading charges, insurance cost, local charges in the port of discharge) till his warehouse
DELIVERED DUTY UNPAID:
under DDU terms shipper undertakes all cargo charges till receiver’s door, except for charges and taxes to the port of discharge
DELIVERED DUTY PAID:
under DDP terms shipper undertakes all charges till the goods delivered to consignee’s door
